Ingredients

  • 2 T. melted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 c. whole milk
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

Heat the oven to 425℉. Oil each well of a 12-well muffin pan or a 6-well popover pan; set aside. Stir together the butter, eggs, milk, and salt until smooth. Add the flour and blend until just smooth. Let the mixture rest for a few minutes. Fill the wells equally with batter. Bake until the popovers are puffed and the tops are starting to brown, about 25-30 minutes. (Do not open the oven door while the popovers cook.) Remove the popovers from the pan, pierce the tops to let out the steam, and serve immediately.
